I have been wanting to make ice pops for the summer but also wanted something easy and that didn’t have too much ( if any ) added sugar. I saw these freezer pop bags online and ordered a package. I then raided my fridge and freezer and came up with three flavors of Homemade Healthier Freezer Pops. They are mostly just fruit and juice pureed in the blender and frozen. They are really tasty and have a great balance between sour and sweet. They are also fun to eat and an easy way to sneak some fruit into your kids. I combined fresh blueberries with fresh squeezed lemon juice and apple juice, frozen apricots with orange juice and cherries with lime juice. You can order the bags with the funnel here . They are really easy to use and best of all, nothing to wash when you are done eating since the bags are disposable. I used my Vitamix. Though it is more expensive than most blenders it’s well worth it. It really purees everything very smoothly in much less time. Mine gets used almost every day.
This is really fun activity to do with kids. Make all three flavors or choose one. Even better, you can mix and match and make it your own. The bags close with a ziploc top but when you open them to eat, I suggest cutting the top off as you would any store boughtfreeze pop.
