I am so excited that cherry season is beginning. I really couldn’t wait to taste some cherries so I came up with this recipe for these delicious and super easy Cherry Crumble Squares. In fact, they are so easy that you need one bowl, some measuring cups and spoons and your hands. I’ve made these for two charity bake sales and no one knew how little time I spent in the kitchen. These bars use a cherry jam that is not too sweet or overwhelming and taste a little bit like Spring. I buy it at Trader Joes. If you can’t find cherry jam, you can substitute for any jam you like. I suggest a lower sugar one as this recipe uses an entire jar.
Serve with a scoop of ice cream and fresh cherries.
