A little while ago, I noticed that blistered shishito peppers were popping up everywhere. I was curious what the fuss was about. I bought some, blistered them and ate them myself because Greg wasn’t all that into them. I thought they were good but they could be better. I decided I would add a little flavor to the mix and serve them again and see what happens. This time, they were practically inhaled. For those of you who don’t know, shishito pepper are very mild and about one in every 10 have a spicy kick. It seems like I’m the one that gets all the spicy peppers. I don’t mind 🙂
As you can tell, this recipe is really easy. Really, really easy! You just make the marinade, toss it with the peppers and throw them on a hot grill for five minutes. This is great to serve as an appetizer while your guests are waiting for the rest of the food to get ready.
