I don’t think I’m going to forget making these chewy granola squares for a very long time, maybe ever. Basically, I decided to get Lilly’s bath filled up while I finished photographing these bars. Lilly was happily playing near by and I was happily snapping pictures in the kitchen, until it started raining. IN THE KITCHEN. I had forgotten to turn the bathwater off. No worries though. The bars were fine.
These bars are chewy and dessert like, and can definitely be served to company after a meal. What I love most about them is that they are pretty much foolproof. If I don’t feel like measuring the ingredients exactly they still come out great. Feel free to experiment with other types of nuts or chocolate chips.
