These Moroccan Chicken Turnovers have a secret ingredient. I promise you that no one will know that it uses leftover chicken. I came up with this recipe when I had lots of leftover chicken. I am also always looking for easy appetizer recipes and this one satisfied both. I don’t know about you but I get a certain thrill when I get compliments on leftovers! I served these to guests once and had to control myself from telling them what was inside. This appetizer is very tasty and comes together quickly. The chicken is already cooked so you just need to saute it in a pan with spices and tomato paste and then roll out store bought puff pastry. I make a big batch and freeze them raw. Whenever I am short on time and need an appetizer, I pull this out of the freezer and bake it. I like to serve it with tahini. I included a recipe for that as well.
Dip the turnover into tahini and enjoy!
